November Beauty Box Unboxings | Blogmas Day 6

Last month I seemed to be in beauty box heaven/ overdrive depending on your perspective. I've realized at the moment I have waaaay too many beauty products to try out so I will only be keeping my PLAY! subscription in the new year.

But in the meantime, I'll enjoy sharing my November beauty box unboxings!

As a bit of a side note, usually when I talk about hauls or unboxings, I like chatting about every single product. But I'm doing things a little bit differently today and will only be talking about the products that sparked my interest-- partly cause of lack of time and partly cause I don't feel super chatty today.

Sephora PLAY! Box
Price: $10
What's in the box?
Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Rosewood 1.00g/ 0.03 oz, $17.68 value
Cover FX Illuminating Primer 0.16 oz, $6.08 value
Glamglow Supermud Mask 0.3 fl oz, $17.25 value
The Estée Edit Dissolve the Drama 2-in-1 Makeup Remover + Cleanser .5 fl oz, $2.39 value
Stella Pop Parfum 0.05 fl oz, $2.50 value
Total Value: $45.90

Sephora PLAY! has been kiiiiiilling it lately. The October box had been my best box yet, but my November box was even better!

Remember the Glamglow supermud mask that I featured in my last empties post? Although I loved the mask, I didn't think I would be repurchasing it anytime soon because it was so pricey. But I guess fate had other plans since I got another mini in this PLAY! box 👏

The other star of this box is the Laura Mercier caviar stick in Rosewood. I've swatched the caviar sticks about a hundred times in stores and am always impressed by how they stay on my hand all freakin' day long. I've worn this out one day and it lasted almost as well on my eyes! The only downside is that now I'm even more tempted to spend more money and buy more colors 💸

Target Beauty Box
Price: $10 $7
What's in the box?
Laneige Mask Water Bank Soothing Gel Mask $4.80 value
L'oreal Voluminous Primer $6.00-$10.00 value (depends on retailer)
W3ll People Bio Brightener Stick Mini
L'Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Volume Filler Thickening Shampoo 1.7 oz, $0.54 value
Andalou Natural 1000 Roses Beautiful Day Cream 0.4 fl oz, $5.00 value
Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner, $6.00- $9.00 value (depends on retailer)
Total Value: $22.34+

Usually Target's beauty boxes sell out within a few hours, but this one stayed in stock long enough to go on sale! It initially retailed for $10 but eventually went on sale for $7, when I snatched it up.

I saw a lot of people complaining about the value of this box but personally I thought it was pretty good! If I'm paying $7-$10 for a beauty box, I would expect the value to be around $20. If it's more-- great! But I think getting a 200% value is a pretty good deal.

Anyways, the reason I bought the box was for the L'oreal luminous mascara primer and the Laneige mask sheet. I'm really disappointed in the mascara primer because I had heard so many great reviews on it! Unfortunately it makes my lashes clumpy and fall flat. On the plus side at least I got to try it out without buying it at full price!

W.I.N. Beauty Kit
Price: $14
What's in the box?
Etude House Real Art No-Wash Cleansing Water 25 mL $1.00- $1.25 value
Dr.G Gowoonsesang Super Aquasis Moisture Toner 30 mL $5.29 value
Holika Holika Juicy Mask Sheet in 'Honey' $4 value
A'pieu Peach Hand Cream $6 value
Olivarrier Foil Set
Total Value: $16.29+ (doesn't include cost of foils or bag)

Last month I dedicated an entire post to my W.I.N. beauty kit as it was my first one. If you read the post you may remember I found it to be very lackluster. I'm happy to report that the November box is a huge improvement!

The actual bag this month is so cute! I love the pop art design. Like last month's bag, it's made of a thicker material which has a nice layer of cushioning.

Dr. G and Olivarrier are two brands I was super excited to see in the bag as they were both on my radar. As far as I know, Olivarrier is a very new brand as far as I know. After briefly scanning through their about us page, it seems like their backstory/ branding is very similar to Deciem's. And I've been interested in Dr. G after seeing Gothamista mention it in one of her haul videos. The packaging on this toner is also really lovely! It has a nice weight to it and came with a stopper on the dropper 👍

I've been using the A'pieu hand cream every day as it has a really lovely peachy scent. Moisture wise it doesn't provide much long lasting moisture but I find that to be the case for most fragrant hand creams.

Hi my name is Sharmili and I'm a sheet mask addict.

So a sheet mask subscription box is pretty much perfect for me... besides for the fact that I already have a 100+ stash I'm trying to work through. But when Mask Genie ran a one-off special I couldn't resist the opportunity to try it out.

Basically Genie (the owner of MaskGenie) ran a promotion for her birthday in which you could get 5 masks for $5 or 10 masks for $10 and as you can see from my photo, I went for the 10 mask pack. I was really excited to see brands that I have heard of like Sum:37 and Sexylook as well as some brands that are completely new to me!

Maybe after a few months of culling down my sheet mask collection, I'll subscribe to Mask Genie. You can find out more about the subscription on the Mask Genie site here.

And those are all my beauty boxes from November! I'm already planning on doing some sort of project where I work through my samples in the new year. At this point my sample drawer is almost overflowing 🙈

If I were to rank these boxes from which one I liked the most to least, it would go:
1. Sephora PLAY!
2. Mask Genie
3. Target Beauty Box
4. W.I.N. Beauty Kit

But honestly, I was happy with all 4 of them. So it was more like the one I loved the most to the one I loved... period.

Are you subscribed to any beauty boxes? Which one was your favorite this past month?
