that time I accidentally stalked Taylor Swift's house
On the first day of our Rhode Island trip, we spent the afternoon in Watch Hill-- mostly because it was the closest Rhode Island beach on our drive. But what started out as a convenient choice turned into a visit to the best beach on our trip. It hit the perfect sweet spot between being completely isolated and being somewhat crowded. The sand was so soft and clean and a dream come true for the "I love long walks on the beach" folks (aka me.)
Between taking a bagillion photos of the beach, I obviously had to check out the tripadvisor page for the beach (because I have a compulsive need to read reviews of everything.) Lo and behold, apparently the huge house on the top of the rock wall belonged to the one and only Taylor Swift.
After learning that little morsel of information, I felt a little embarrassed for recognizing the area around the house from various pap photos. Remember those totally spontaneous and un-staged photos of Tom Hiddleston and Taylor making out on the beach? They were taken at this beach.
I tried to reign in my creepiness and only included one photo of her house in this post. Not gonna lie, if I had $18 million to drop on a beach house I would only visit a few times a year, I would totally have bought this house too.
(The stunning, yellow building in the back of the other photos is the Ocean House Relais and Chateaux. It's hella fancy.)
