shaggy

coat: h&m, t-shirt: free people, jeans: 7 for all mankind, boots: zara, beanie: american apparel

The Friday before last, it was the rainiest day LA had seen in 3 years. I'm talking flipped umbrellas, massive puddles, lightning and thunder, the whole nine yards. Although it wasn't rainy during the day Saturday, it was actually cold enough for me to wear this faux sheepskin coat I bought. Unbeknownst (thoroughly shocked that's actually a word) to me at the time of purchase, shearling coats seem to be trending for fall 2014. It's an odd, bulky looking shape, but it caught my eye nevertheless. I think one of the best lessons I've learned from blogging is that there's more to style than trying to make yourself look as skinny and tall as possible.

  12. heck yeah to that last sentence! sometimes we focus on looking too good sometimes that we avoid things that could be just plain old fun to wear! I like that shaggy coat on you so much. It looks absolutely cozy!

  13. Amen to your last sentence - I've given up trying to look "pretty" - I just wear what I want how I want. If it makes me happy, I'll wear it on my blog :]

Love this jacket - it's so fuzzy and cute! It's the kind of coat I'd wear in the middle of winter while snuggling on my couch with a cup of hot chocolate. Love it! :]

  17. hehe, I like that last statement. very well said :) and your new coat reminds me of something... a lamb shape pillow-like thingy that goes around your neck to make it feel comfy in the plane, during long drives etc. I have that thing but I haven't actually tried to use it, to be honest. anyway, I think your coat is cute!

  18. Oh...it looks so similar to my shaggy coat I got this winter. Mind you, I only wore it a handful of times. The winter never really got very cold this year. No snow, no nothing. Bah.
