SLIDER

uniformly

sweater: h&m, denim: hudson (I went scissor happy on em), shoes: nike, bag: madewell

Over the past few days I've been feeling a bit too lazy to bother thinking about what I'm going to be wearing. Comfy shoes + a loose sweater + skinnies have pretty much been on repeat. It's only Tuesday and I'm already hoping for the week to be over already. At least next week looks more promising, with no exams and warmer weather!

While I would love to say I purchased these sneakers last month as part of an exercise more initiative, that would be a big, fat lie. Unless you count wearing them with work out clothes and walking to Whole Foods to pick up chocolate and yogurt... cause you know, that's walking. Exercise!

As far as incorporating them into more everyday wear, this is as creative as I could be. Which obviously is not creative at all, a pair of jeans and a black top, who woulda thunk? At the same time, it does fit into my easy going aesthetic.

Dressing up sneakers which aren't converse just wasn't not meant to be for me. I love, love, love street style shots of gals with their new balance and nike sneakers paired with dresses and skirts of all lengths, but it just isn't something I can accomplish and feel comfortable in. So I guess I'm left to admire from afar.

  5. I think I need to find the perfect sporty yet stylish sneakers that those girls wear...I don't know, like those $80 sneakers right? Haha, I know the trend you're talking about and I feel the same. I admire them from a distance, but I just don 't think I can pull it off. I'd like to try though!

  6. Yes I can totally relate with a) I've been extremely lazy to dress up, been resorting to pull overs, jeans and sneakers & b) I just can't rock tennis shoes with non workout attire! But you look so good with them though! :)

  7. I feel the same way about the "chic sneakers" trend - not really for me but love seeing them on other people.
That said I think this so-called lazy outfit is very on-trend and well incorporated into an everyday, wearable look. Great styling!

  8. I'm really into the sneakers thing too...I think I'd actually like to try them with girly-er pieces sometime, but I'm sure I won't be able to pull them off as well as the girls in street style shots.
I love your effortless outfit. Sometimes, the ones we don't put much thought into turn out to be our best looks.

  9. I'm loving sneakers these days too, but sadly, it's too snowy here to wear them just yet.

The distressing you did on those jeans is so cool! I especially like the unfinished hems.

  15. Loving those jeans. I've been wanting to try out a pair with the super blown out knees, too. Destroyed is a fun way to balance girly + tough. :)

  19. I think you always look beautiful and well dressed, and today is not different.Like you, I also only admire the girls who wear sneakers with nice skirts and dresses... I like to admire an outfit that way, but I can't wear it. And by the way, walking - no matter the objective, chocolate or not - is definitely exercising! Nice that next week you don't have exams, enjoy the weekend with some fun! denisesplanet com
