sweater: h&m, shorts: gap, sandals: birkenstock, yankees cap, rings: brandy melville + h&m

When I first came across this outfit on pinterest, it was inspiration-at-first-sight. Integrating running shoes into everyday looks is all the rage, but I had seldom seen running shorts styled in such a way. I figured a weekend grocery store run was the perfect time to try out such an outfit, albeit a way more relaxed go at the look thanks to the baseball cap and birkenstocks. For my second attempt I think I'll stick closer to the original outfit's aesthetic with a more polished top, some heeled booties, and freshly washed hair so I can go sans cap.

  1. You're pictures are amazing. I just discovered your blog and I have to say that I like it very much. This look is so interesting combined...maybe I will try it out one day (but until then summer has to hurry up here in cold Switzerland).

  3. I have to say it's the first time I see a very cosy and fluffy sweater next to a pair of very summery shorts :P so I don't even know how I feel about it, to be honest... but I think I would remove the cap ;) just like you said in your post. by the way, the colour of your shorts is one of the prettiest colours ever!

  6. i like this - it's definitely a bit different and the cap is a nice touch ;) plus birks. i really don't get how some people think these arizonas are ugly - you know i'm a big fan! i think some of the other birk models are a bit blah, but def not these! i need to get back on pinterest a bit more - i often find so many cool things on there it's hard to get off once i start!
