inspired by: plaid

I typically tend to veer away from most loud colors and prints like they're the plague. Somehow, plaid seems to break this trend. While I wouldn't say my style choices really "flip-flop," cause I think I kinda dress all over the place, I would say my preferences or what inspires me at a certain point in time is ever changing. Maybe that's normal, maybe that's not, who knows. Currently, I'm really feelin' plaid. Plaid, plaid, plaid. So without further ado, here is some plaid inspo fo yo (too much slang? #millennialproblems)plaidcollage

  2. I must admit plaid is not my cup of tea.. I do tolerate it in some cases when others wear it really well (and I have a plaid'ish trench myself) but for example plaid pants are absolutely horrible in my book :D

    1. I toootally get it. A few years ago, if I saw burberry plaid, a little piece of me would die. But now I have grown to love all plaid in general!

  3. I'm a little iffy about plaid, I find it hard to draw the line between fine fashion and bogan farmer look. But all of these looks definitely fit into the fine fashion category.

  12. i have been LOVING plaid lately- it adds this grungy, rough touch to everything. and i really like all these layering ideas in these pictures. i've slowly started tying a sweater around my waist for almost every outfit, haha. also, thanks for not thinking i look like fantine with my haircut hahah ;) i think that first day was just a shock and i was all like WHAT HAVE I DONE. also, loving the quote on the bottom of this page ;)

  16. Hands down my fave is the way Leandra from man repeller styled her plaid. I feel like plaid pants are hard to pull off in the summer time, ya know? Loving the inspiration, lady. Talk about a versatile print! From grunge to prep, right?

  25. I love plaid (or tartan as we say ;) ).
Though I have to say I mostly wear it in autumn/winter. I just can't see tartan as a summery pattern. Or maybe I just didn't find the right summer tartan piece.
