inspired by: boyfriend jeans

Okay, so I'm only about several years late on accepting boyfriend jeans. Although I should rephrase that, I've liked boyfriend jeans styled on others, but only recently began wearing them myself. No longer going to be passing past photos of them featured on street style stars. Still, as far as real life goes, I don't think boyfriend jeans have been properly assimilated into the scene as well as their cousin--  skinny jeans. Regardless, my skinnies are taking a backseat-- this is the era of the boyfriend jeans (*cues dramatic music here.*)

  1. Haha, I know, I liked how they looked on others but refused to believe I could pull them off. But what do you know, I thrifted a pair that were originally from Gap and they look ah-mazing with heels

  2. I must have been an early lover of boyfriend jeans because I can't get enough of them. I actually have to tell myself not to keep buying pairs. They are just so comfy and can look so chic. I love this round up! I am totally pinning this for inspiration! <3

  5. I have actually been thinking of finally purchasing a pair for this fall. Like you, I've been loving the silhouette on other people these past few years. But I was too afraid to go for it myself. Perhaps I'll try it this upcoming season. Love the inspiration shots you chose...all those lovely ladies really bring something fresh to the plate when it comes to styling their boyfriend denim.

  8. Im exactly the same. I love the idea of boyfriend jeans but just don't think they would suit me (even though I've never tried them). However I don't think they would ever replace my skinnies :) xx

  13. Have boyfriend jeans been in for several YEARS already?! I thought it was just like two or three seasons!

I just found an old pair of too-big skinnies in the back of my closet that pretty much look like boyfriend jeans... so I'm set, no need to shop for more!

  15. Oh yeah they are making a big come back due to the whole "retro" 90s trend in fashion at the moment. IF you can call the 90s retro :O but boy friend jeans are fun because they are so comfy!

  16. I like boyfriend jeans but only when they're not too wide and ripped and.. you know, just too everything. I like them when they're modest and rather classic. and your photos include both variants, some I pretty much love but there are a few hideous ones as well :P

  26. i seriously admire people who can pull off a chunky top and boyfriend jeans with birkenstocks and look super slick. love the inspiration - incidentally the blonde with the ripped jeans and white collar (left, fourth from bottom) is one of my all time fave photos of anyone, ever! so glad to see it represented here in your lineup ;)
